To incorporate the green line into TESLA, we are heading in the process of innovation and intervention of the product with ecological and environmental modifications such as: implementation of biodegradable materials, elimination of toxic or polluting materials, reduction of losses (improvement of energy efficiency), reduction of noise and / or vibrations (noise pollution).

These modifications were made as part of TESLA's commitment to the planet and the constant improvement of products for our clients; all this in order to offer a sophisticated, high quality and environmentally friendly product.

Green Line

Ecological transformers with vegetable oil and high efficiency .

CONSTRUCTION

This type of transformers, like mineral oil bath transformers, are built in the same way, they only differ in their specific details in the design of the parameters for the thermal dissipation of the magnetic core and the windings.
Vegetable oil has a higher dielectric strength compared to mineral oil, thus allowing the reduction of the distances of the energized live parts with respect to the transformer tank.
making it a more compact equipment with minimal differences in size compared to the conventional oil type insulated with mineral oil.


Generally, transformers with mineral oil bath are guaranteed for a temperature rise of 65°C in the windings and 60°C for the dielectric oil,
being able to reach a maximum temperature of approximately 105°C - 110°C at the hottest point depending on the ambient temperature. With the incorporation of vegetable oil, higher temperatures can be reached thanks to the fact that this type of insulator has a much higher flash and flame point;
This feature can be used in special designs where the insulation used is guaranteed for a maximum operating temperature much higher than that used in conventional transformers.
For this purpose, special insulating materials with higher properties in terms of thermal class are incorporated into the design and manufacturing.

ADVANTAGES

  • Amigable con el medio ambiente: El aceite vegetal es un material que no es tóxico, libre de PCB’s y otros productos que atentan contra los ecosistemas, es un producto biodegradable. 

  • Greater electrical and thermal capacity: Thanks to its better properties of dielectric strength and temperature resistance, compact equipment can be manufactured without oversizing the size of the transformers.

  • Ease of installation: Due to their property of being environmentally friendly, transformers insulated with vegetable oil do not require the manufacture of pits to contain oil due to spills in civil works, and thanks to their high flammability point they do not require the erection of fire walls.

  • Cost reduction: Avoid construction of infrastructure for installation, transformers are designed with low losses to have less electrical energy consumption, activities for the preservation of the environment are lower.

  • Longer useful life: The degradation of the insulating materials of the cellulose composite windings is less due to their chemical compatibility with vegetable oil, thus extending the useful life of the transformer.
